I have had a large Berkey water purification system for approx. 12 years now and have used it exclusively over the last nine months for everything from cooking to preparation and consumption of all drinks used in my house. This includes juice mixes, green tea (my favorite) and just plain, excellent tasting water. The inclusion of the additional eight toxic metals and bacteria add on filters to the existing eight charcoal filters have resulted in a quicker filtration time and great tasting water in addition to the comfort and security of knowing that my family is consuming the purest water available on the planet! Down the road, I would not be surprised at all to find out that the deployment of COVID-19 was accomplished through our municipal water systems since so many of them are now managed by remote offsite parties. There is really very little security at our water systems through the country. Maybe it can be proven that COVID-19 was not broadcast through these systems, but the danger and risk is there for the future. As for me and my family, we will place our trust in BERKEY. And the best thing is that you do not have to trust in their claims, you can look up the testing results from many reputable governmental and independent water testing agencies. You just can't go wrong with using this system no matter what size you start with. Thanks, Berkey for GREAT AMERICAN MADE PRODUCT! Oh yeah, in regard to the use of the spare parts I purchased, in installing the extra filters, I accidentally stripped the attachment post on one of the filters. Not to worry, I just removed the nut, placed a couple of extra washers on the post and then put a new nut from the spare parts bag on the post and in less than 30 seconds, my problem was fixed! Good job, Berkey! I am so convinced of the excellence of this product I would like to see a Berkey sponsored non-profit foundation set up where Berkey users could donate to in order to fund the development of a scaled up version of these products to sizes that would provide 1k to 5k water cisterns to provide safe water around the world not only to the countless villages and towns around the world that do not have a reliable source of clean water, but also to be provided to areas ravaged by typhoons, hurricanes, tornados earthquakes and other acts of nature when one of the first and most important issues is to provide fresh clean water to the victims. I know this can be done and I would like to be a part of it. I am sure that other Berkey owners would be supportive also. Thank you for reading this post.
