The Berkey was very easy to set-up and we love the taste of the water! All around great product - we also bought the stand from Amazon and that was a huge help with keeping our countertop organized.

I was cautiously hopeful that it would meet at least half of my expectations, after reading countless comments, recommendations, reviews and articles written on this product.
After using it daily for more than a month, I can honestly say it exceeds my most hopeful expectations.
I do not mind the few maintenance steps as I value the quality of the water way more.
Now, if we can get the black filters situation resolved so we can buy them as needed without being on a wait list forever. Rooting for Berkey, as EPA interference is lacking every bit of common sense.

Life-Changing

About 5 years ago, I started suffering from activity intolerance, fatigue, skin itching, severe GERD, esophageal burning for most of the day every day. It would burn my esophagus, chest and stomach when i drank home-brewed coffee. I was severely short of breath and had to lay down after climbing the stairs to my bedroom and short of breath throughout the day. Clean bill of health repeatedly with my doctors. Weeks ago, I realized that the chemical spills into our aqifers could be a possible cause. I had used another pitcher type water filter brand that filters fewer chemicals than the Berkey does for years. Because my health was declining, I wanted to see if really filtering my water well through a Berkey would help. The Berkey had high reviews and claims to filter the substances that spilled into our aquifer (and continues to spill). I got the Royal Berkey with the extra Fluoride/Arsenic filters. The night after I drank only Berkey filtered water, I had ZERO GERD. Have had ZERO GERD ever since. I have been laying flat at night again and getting better sleep due to no GERD. All of my other negative symptoms have disappeared within days of starting using the Berkey. No shortness of breath climbing stairs, I can train with little to no rest periods now. And my home brewed coffee no longer burns when I swallow it. LIFE CHANGING. I do fill my ice cube trays and coffee machines using the Berkey filtered water. The Berkey very well may have saved my life. It has definitely greatly improved the quality of my life, turned my health around, I can never go back. I highly recommeend the Berkey. Will be buying Berkey systems for my adult children so they can have safe drinking water too. Thank you so much for such a great product.

We went from drinking all high sugar drinks daily to just water in a month. The water tastes so clean and refreshing. Our family of four drinks almost all 3 gallons a day.

We already had good well water, but this filtration system takes it to a whole new level. The instructions were easy enough to follow, and it went together easily. Struggled a tiny bit priming the black filters, but that was because of my faucet being too big for the priming adapter. We got them primed and performed a leak test, then the red dye test. It all went without a hitch, and now we're enjoying cleaner filtered water in our home. Thanks for being a great product....
