The Berkey Light® Water Filter is a lightweight, full-size gravity-fed water filtration system designed for everyday home use, travel, and flexible countertop placement. It offers a 2.75-gallon storage capacity in a durable, see-through body, making it easy to monitor water levels throughout the day.
Made from a non-BPA/BPS copolyester, the Berkey Light® System is a practical alternative to stainless steel Berkey models for customers who want a lighter system with greater capacity than personal travel units. It comes standard with two Black Berkey® Elements and can be expanded to four elements for increased flow rate.

About the Berkey Light® System
The Berkey Light® System is designed for customers who want a full-size Berkey system in a lighter, more portable format. Its transparent design makes it easy to see how much water remains in the upper and lower chambers without removing the lid.
The included base raises the system for convenient glass placement under the spigot. The system may also be used without the base when a lower profile is preferred.
Because the system is gravity-fed, it does not require electricity, water pressure, or permanent installation. Simply fill the upper chamber, and water flows through the installed filter elements into the lower chamber for dispensing.

Filter Elements
The Berkey Light® System comes standard with two Black Berkey® Elements. These elements are designed for use in Berkey gravity-fed systems and are re-cleanable throughout their life.
Two Black Berkey® Elements are designed to filter approximately 6,000 gallons before replacement is recommended. Actual filter life and flow rate may vary depending on water quality, usage, cleaning routine, and maintenance.
For customers who want additional capacity and faster flow, the Berkey Light® System can be expanded from two to four Black Berkey® Elements.
Optional PF-2™ Elements
The Berkey Light® System is compatible with Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Elements. These optional elements are installed in the lower chamber and are sold separately.
If you choose to use PF-2™ Elements, follow the manufacturer’s installation, priming, and replacement instructions carefully.

Care and Maintenance
For best performance, prime the Black Berkey® Elements before first use and clean them as directed when the flow rate slows. Do not use soap or cleaning chemicals on the filter elements. Always follow the included instructions for setup, priming, cleaning, and storage.
Black Berkey® Elements should not be used with salt-based softened water, as this may shorten element life and affect performance. If your household uses a salt-based water softener, review the relevant Berkey FAQ before use.
