My old black filters lasted for a loooong time and I finally replaced them with these new ones. These ones are very easy to prep which is nice! I think they are lighter than the old ones and I agree with the other reviewers they do filter the water much faster. To keep my water tasting good, I clean my filters and the inside of the drums every 5 to 6 weeks. I think it makes a difference.
Filters seam to be working well maybe too well, because water filters through Berkey in about 1/2 hour. I hope the black and arsenic filters are properly filtering our water.
My doctor recommended fluoride-free water as part of my toxin reduction plan. I was delighted to start using the Berkey PF-2 filters at home. Our water tastes great, and I am happy to get past that toxic exposure. We are so spoiled by excellent, healthy water, that we take our Big Berkey when we travel by car.
I purchased this to avoid overfilling the Travel Berkey after the initial fill-up and to know how full the unit is so I determine when to add water as well as how much to add.
The product was easy to install and provides the feedback that I needed. Because the spigot is as tall as the lower tank if someone bumps it the spigot can tilt off 90 degrees. So far, I have been able to straighten it without causing a leak at the rubber washer. I should also note that this spigot is not spring-loaded. So, if you turn it on it keeps flowing.
Inside of the clear glasses, there’s always a light milky film. Can’t figure it out.
This is incredibly helpful and letting you know how much water is in your tank. It’s in a valuable tool that I use every day.

Easy ordering, but very expensive! I don’t recall the filters being so expensive when i initially ordered my 3 Berkeys, but i was unpleasantly surprised!
I previous used a Zero filter. Which was good but the filters started to add up and the dispensers would give out after only a year or so. I finally decided to invest in a Berkey and don’t regret it. It’s got a sturdy design and filters that last much longer. The upfront cost will save me so much more money. Plus I no longer use a plastic container for my water which is a massive plus. The water tastes great. I’d recommend to anyone.
I recently started using a Berkey for camping. I wasn’t a fan of the plastic spigot that came with it. I was surprised to see that there was a stainless steel spigot available from Berkey for the unit. I’m very pleased with it. It looks great on my Berkey! I think Berkey should start putting these on all the water filters.

I purchased this after learning about Berkey from a friend using it in Kenya. I wanted one for Jamaica but I started using Berkey in New York. NY has great spring water but Berkey improved the taste of it. Now I have to purchase another one for Jamaica.
If you own a Berkey you already know this is a must have. Makes getting water so easy. Wish it didn’t cost as much. If I had time I could make one for much less. But time is something they don’t make more of.
I have the Berkey travel and often would run low and not know it. The water view spigot is a perfect solution! The ball sometimes gets stuck in a bubble of air or water. I may remove it the next time I clean the filter, since you can see the water level without the white ball. But that is just a small incidental item that is stated as optional in the instructions. Overall I am very pleased!
This is my second Berkey. Bought a camper and needed a reliable water filter. Have been using a Berkey at the house for years now so of course I got one for my camper as well. Can get water from any source and know it’s safe to drink.

I buy the filters to clean anything in the water that may have gotten through the city’s water system. The taste is great! My mother only drinks the filtered water as she can tell the difference too. We’ve been drinking the water for many years now and plan to continue. Thanks for a great product!
