GO Berkey® Kit with Black Berkey Primer
The Go Berkey® Kit is a compact stainless steel gravity water filter designed for personal use at home, at work, at school, or while traveling. Its small footprint makes it easy to keep on a desk or countertop, or to pack with your everyday gear.
Made with polished AISI 304 stainless steel, the Go Berkey® Kit offers the familiar Berkey® gravity-fed design in a lightweight, portable size. It is intended for 1 to 2 people and holds approximately 1 quart (0.95 liters) of filtered water.
The kit comes standard with one Black Berkey® Element and requires no electricity, plumbing, or water pressure. Simply fill the upper chamber, allow gravity to draw water through the element, and collect the filtered water in the lower chamber.
*Due to state regulations, this product is not available for sale in California or Iowa.

Designed for Personal Water Filtration
The Go Berkey® Kit is best suited for customers who want a small Berkey® system for individual use. It can be used in many everyday settings, including at a desk, in a dorm room, in a small living space, or while traveling.
Because the upper chamber nests inside the lower chamber, the system takes up less room when packed away. This makes it easier to store than larger countertop models while still offering a stainless-steel gravity-fed filtration option.
About the Black Berkey® Element
The included Black Berkey® Element has been independently tested by accredited third-party laboratories for the reduction of a broad range of common contaminants found in drinking water sources. Performance can vary depending on water quality, usage, and maintenance.
For best results, follow the included instructions for priming, installation, cleaning, and replacement. The element is re-cleanable during its service life and is designed for approximately 3,000 gallons of use before replacement is recommended.
Important PF-2™ Compatibility Note
The Go Berkey® Kit is not compatible with the Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Elements due to the compact size of the Go Berkey® Kit. If PF-2™ compatibility is important for your household, consider a larger Berkey® system, such as the Travel Berkey®, Big Berkey®, Royal Berkey®, Imperial Berkey®, or Crown Berkey®.
Assembly and Use
Before first use, prime the Black Berkey® Element according to the included instructions. Proper priming helps prepare the element for normal water flow.
After priming, install the element in the upper chamber using the included washer and wing nut. Fill the upper chamber with water from your household drinking water source, place the lid on top, and allow gravity to move water through the element into the lower chamber.
Care and Maintenance
- Use only as directed in the product instructions.
- Prime the element before first use.
- Re-prime if the flow slows significantly after storage or cleaning.
- Clean the element as directed when the flow rate noticeably decreases.
- Do not use soap or cleaning chemicals on the filter element.
- Replace the element after approximately 3,000 gallons of use or when recommended by the product instructions.
- Do not use with salt water or water from a salt-based softener, as this can reduce element life and may affect warranty coverage.
Who Is the Go Berkey® Kit Best For?
The Go Berkey® Kit is a practical choice for customers who want a compact personal Berkey® system rather than a larger household model. It is especially useful for individuals, couples, students, office use, and customers who prefer a smaller stainless steel unit for limited space.
For larger families or higher daily water demand, a larger Berkey® system may be more convenient.
