Crown Berkey® Water Filter – 6 Gal Gravity-Fed Filtration System
Crown Berkey™ Water Filter System – 6-Gallon Stainless Steel Gravity-Fed Filtration
The Crown Berkey™ Water Filter System is the largest stainless steel system in the Berkey lineup. With a 6-gallon capacity, it is designed for larger households, offices, churches, shared spaces, and group-use settings that want more filtered drinking water available between refills.
The Crown Berkey™ operates entirely by gravity, so no electricity, plumbing, or water pressure is required. Its large upper and lower chambers provide the highest stainless-steel capacity in the Berkey lineup while supporting an expandable primary-filter configuration.
Constructed from highly polished AISI 304 stainless steel, the Crown Berkey™ is designed for durable everyday countertop use and can accommodate up to 8 compatible primary filter elements.
*Due to state regulations, this product is not available for sale in California or Iowa.
Designed for Larger Daily Water Needs
The Crown Berkey™ is commonly selected by customers who want the largest stainless steel Berkey system and prefer fewer refills throughout the day.
- Largest stainless steel Berkey system
- 6-gallon storage capacity
- Manufacturer everyday-use guidance for approximately 6–12 people
- Expandable to as many as 8 compatible primary elements
- No electricity, plumbing, or water pressure required
- Upper chamber nests inside the lower chamber for a stored height of approximately 20 inches
For households, offices, churches, and other shared settings with higher daily water use, the Crown provides maximum Berkey stainless-steel capacity.
How the Crown Berkey™ Works
The Crown Berkey™ uses gravity to move water from the upper chamber through the installed primary filter elements. Filtered water then collects in the lower chamber and is dispensed through the spigot.
Included Black Berkey® Elements
The current Crown Berkey™ configuration includes 2 Black Berkey® Elements and can accommodate up to 8 compatible primary elements.
Independent Black Berkey® laboratory documentation reports reduction performance for a range of drinking-water substances, including selected heavy metals, chlorine-related compounds, VOCs, pharmaceuticals, petroleum-related compounds, particulates, and other substances under the documented test conditions.
Because Black Berkey® Elements are not designed as a reverse-osmosis or demineralization system, ordinary dissolved minerals such as calcium and magnesium generally remain in the water.
A pair of Black Berkey® Elements has a manufacturer-recommended replacement interval of up to approximately 6,000 gallons under stated conditions. Actual service life may be shorter depending on source water quality and use.
For current compatibility information, visit our Replacement Filters Guide.
Optional PF-2™ Fluoride & Arsenic Reduction Elements
The Crown Berkey™ can accommodate up to 8 optional PF-2™ Fluoride & Arsenic Reduction Elements when used with compatible primary filter elements. Install one PF-2 for each compatible primary element.
