Easy ordering, but very expensive! I don’t recall the filters being so expensive when i initially ordered my 3 Berkeys, but i was unpleasantly surprised!
I previous used a Zero filter. Which was good but the filters started to add up and the dispensers would give out after only a year or so. I finally decided to invest in a Berkey and don’t regret it. It’s got a sturdy design and filters that last much longer. The upfront cost will save me so much more money. Plus I no longer use a plastic container for my water which is a massive plus. The water tastes great. I’d recommend to anyone.
I recently started using a Berkey for camping. I wasn’t a fan of the plastic spigot that came with it. I was surprised to see that there was a stainless steel spigot available from Berkey for the unit. I’m very pleased with it. It looks great on my Berkey! I think Berkey should start putting these on all the water filters.

I purchased this after learning about Berkey from a friend using it in Kenya. I wanted one for Jamaica but I started using Berkey in New York. NY has great spring water but Berkey improved the taste of it. Now I have to purchase another one for Jamaica.
If you own a Berkey you already know this is a must have. Makes getting water so easy. Wish it didn’t cost as much. If I had time I could make one for much less. But time is something they don’t make more of.
I have the Berkey travel and often would run low and not know it. The water view spigot is a perfect solution! The ball sometimes gets stuck in a bubble of air or water. I may remove it the next time I clean the filter, since you can see the water level without the white ball. But that is just a small incidental item that is stated as optional in the instructions. Overall I am very pleased!
This is my second Berkey. Bought a camper and needed a reliable water filter. Have been using a Berkey at the house for years now so of course I got one for my camper as well. Can get water from any source and know it’s safe to drink.

I buy the filters to clean anything in the water that may have gotten through the city’s water system. The taste is great! My mother only drinks the filtered water as she can tell the difference too. We’ve been drinking the water for many years now and plan to continue. Thanks for a great product!

Great filter. Way bigger than expected but is perfect for what we use it for. Looks great on the counter.
It's been about 5 weeks. I am loving my Berkey! No more hauling water or buying water. There it is sitting right on my counter at room temperature just waiting to be poured whenever I need it. The water tastes superior to any you can buy. There is more work to this system but once set up it is minimal and well worth it. It gives me peace of mind to know I have clean water at my fingertips.
The water in town is not very good, and the fridge filter is not a reliable source of clean water. Looking for a better, clean water source, we recently purchased a Berkey because we know others with a Berkey and trusted the quality.
Outstanding decision! The water tastes good, the tank actually holds a lot more water than we anticipated, and it's super easy to use.
Highly recommend the Berkey Imperial for families wanting a better water source. This is the perfect size for our active family of 5, including two teenage boys.

The overall product is awesome; however, the black plastic threaded portion of the carbon filter and the plastic nut used to attach the filter to the upper tank form an interference fit. This creates plastic debris when threading them together, and the small particles contaminate the clean-water side. I had to thoroughly clean all components to make sure no plastic pieces ended up in the filtered water.

It tales a bit of time and patience to install, prime and purge the Berkey. After following the detailed instructions, the water filters great. I recommend this system for your home.
I like it a lot glad I got it. Only problem I have is I have well water and filters seem to clog every 50 gals or so , do I need different filters ?
